Alaska By Motorcycle 2019
My 2 brothers and I adventured up to Alaska for the month of July 2019. Brother Bob came from Virginia, and Brother Jim and I came from Iowa. Via the Black Hills in South Dakota, through Wyoming we drove to Glacier National Park in Montana and entered Canada north of Eureka, Montana. We enjoyed the Icefields Parkway near Banff, then went up the Cassiar Highway. We visited Dawson City, Yukon then entered Alaska via Top of the World Highway, Poker Creek crossing. We toured Alaska (Tok, Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage, Seward, Valdez, Haines, Skagway (traveled on Alaska Ferry from Haines to Skagway) and then returned to USA via the Alaska Highway through White Horse, Watson Lake, Fort Nelson, and finally Dawson Creek. We reentered the USA at Portal, North Dakota. We were on the road for 30s days and covered 10,000 miles, Bob 12,000 miles. It was a great trip and we would do it all over again (maybe in 2022). If you haven’t done it, then DO IT!.
